Calculating Area Rectangle.
Let r be the radius of the half circle and also, the width of the rectangle.
a = r+r
a = 2r units.
a is the diameter of the half circle.
b = (2r-x) units.
b is the length of the rectangle.
c = ½(6)
c = 3 units.
It implies;
r ~ 6
3 ~ (2r-x)
Cross Multiply.
(2r-x)r = 18
Notice.
(2r-x)r is the length times the width of the rectangle (area rectangle).
Therefore;
Area rectangle = 18 square units.
