Calculating area blue.

6 - a

b - 2

Cross Multiply.

ab = 12 cm²

c = ½(ab)

c = ½(12)

c = 6 cm²

Therefore, calculating a.

6+½(2a) = ½(2+b)*a

6+a = ½*2a*ab

And

ab = 12 cm²

6+a = ½*2a*12

6+a = 12a

6 = 12a-a

11a = 6

a = (6/11) cm.

And

ab = 12

b = (12/a)

And a = (6/11)

b = 12÷(6/11)

b = 12*(11/6)

b = 22 cm.

Therefore, blue area is;

½*(b+2)*a

= ½(22+2)*(6/11)

= ½*24*(6/11)

= 12*(6/11)

= (72/11) cm²
