Calculating Area Green Square.

a² = 12

a = √(12)

a = 2√(3) units.

a is the side length of the the square.

b = a+x

b = (x+2√(3)) units.

b is the side length of the green square.

c = (2√(3)-x) units.

Calculating x.

2√(3) ~ (x+2√(3))

x ~ (2√(3)-x)

Cross Multiply.

12-2√(3)x = x²+2√(3)x

x²+4√(3)x-12 = 0

(x+2√(3))² = 12+(2√(3))²

(x+2√(3))² = 24

(x+2√(3))² = √(24)

x = -2√(3)±2√(6)

It implies;

x = (2√(6)-2√(3)) units.

Recall.

b = (x+2√(3)) units.

b is the side length of the green square.

And x = (2√(6)-2√(3)) units.

Therefore;

b = (2√(6)-2√(3))+2√(3)

b = 2√(6) units.

Again, b is the side length of the green square.

It implies, area green square is;

b²

= (2√(6))²

= 4*6

= 24 square units.
