Calculating Green Area.

a = 12+3

a = 15 units.

a is the side length of the two congruent squares.

cosb = 12/15

b = acos(4/5)°

c = 90-b

c = (90-acos(4/5))°

tand = 15/3

d = atan(5)°

e = c+d

e = 90-acos(4/5)+atan(5)

e = 131.82016988°

f² = 15²+3²

f = √(225+9)

f = √(234)

f = 3√(26) units.

Therefore, green area is;

Area triangle with height 3√(26) units and base 15sin131.82016988 units - Area triangle with height 15 units and base 3 units.

0.5*3√(26)*15sin131.82016988 - 0.5*15*3

= 85.5 - 22.5

= 63 square units.
