Calculating b.


c = 120-90

c = 30°

120° is the single interior angle of the regular hexagon.


cos30 = 1/d

d = 2/√(3)

d = ⅓(2√(3)) units.

d = 1.1547005384 units.


e² = 2-2cos120

e = √(3) units.

e = 1.7320508076 units.


f = 90-(½(180-120))

f = 90-30

f = 60°


Length b is;


b² = 1.7320508076²+1.1547005384²-2*1.7320508076*1.1547005384cos60

b = 1.5275252317 units.


Therefore;


a/ b is;

1/1.5275252317

= 0.6546536707 exactly in decimal.
